We are a small corporation in the design
and construction of total electric autos
using our patented on board Carter Car
Charger. Our prototype pictured to the left
consists of a 1998 Dodge Intrepid,
converted to an electric vehicle and has
our on board charging system.
As we progress with the development of
our autos, our plans are to produce this
type of auto, on the market in the near
future.

Having entered our auto in the Automotive X Prize competition, our goals as well as
the entire AutoXPrize competition, are to show the world that there are alternatives to
purchasing fuel guzzling autos and release the US from our dependence on oil.
We all know that energy conservation is a big factor in the world today. If the US can
produce automobiles that use far less petroleum, than we can reduce our dependency
on foreign oil. Transportation now consumes more than 20% of the worlds total primary
energy and produces much of the worlds air pollution.
Our design using the carter car charger reduces not only our use of gas and oil, but
reduces air pollution. This straight forward approach to reduce emissions, is done by
reducing the amount of fuel consumed.
The automobile is responsible for nearly 90% of the energy consumed for travel in the
U.S. today. Autos today operate at approximately 15 to 18% efficiency, using primary
gasoline as a fuel. On the other hand the hybrid and or electric car can operate from
46% and greater efficiency.
Research shows that a car that gets 20 mph will generate almost 24 pounds of carbon
dioxide driving 20 miles, using one gallon of gasoline. 20 miles in a electric car
consumes approximately 5KW hours of electric, which generates 1.4pounds/KW or
about 7 pounds of carbon dioxide for the same 20 miles, based on using fossil fuels
for the generation of electric. Carbon dioxide is the number one cause of our
deteriorating ozone layer causing earth warming and the beginning of dramatic serious
problems for all of us.

2009 Chev Aveo and at present converting this auto to
electric and installing our new designed Carter Charge
System for on board charging while you drive.
